Winemaker's Notes

The "Snake Eyes" designation is awarded to our best Zinfandel vineyard of the vintage making it a cult favorite of Murphy-Goode fans. The 2013 single vineyard Zinfandel originates once again from the Trusendi Vineyard in Alexander Valley. The Trusendi Vineyard is one of our original sources of Zin that has always been a staple of the Liar's Dice; in fact grower Mike Mazzoni was one of our founder's regular for the daily Lair's Dice games in Geyserville. The 2013 vintage of Snake Eyes is a big rich wine with coating tannins, ripe fresh fruit flavors of blackberry jam, black raspberries, and black cherries all structured with fine grain oak barrels contributing toasty notes and subtle nuances of chocolate and vanilla that will keep you coming back for more.
